Kingdom of Light

Kingdom of Light

COLOSSIANS 1:10-12

10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. John 17:3 Believers are already pleasing to God, because they have accepted His Son, whome God in Open heaven declared "This is My Son, whom I have chosen, Hear Him" Luke 9:35. What an eternal joyful privillage, to be accepted by God of Heaven.

After entering such Grace of such acceptance into Kingdom of Light, we only have to journey new life begining at Grace, where we learn and grow into this new creation in Christ Jesus - to learn how we can please God with our actions and behavior in life -- and it doesnt involve the fear of ever displeasing him because he has removed our sins. The New creation indeed has taken in DNA of God, The Holy Spirit, The Grace to have His heart.

Paul’s desire in COLOSSIANS 1:10-12 is therefor that the believers in Colossae to live a life that is worthy of the Lord and pleasing to him. This involves bearing fruit in every good work and continually growing in the knowledge of God.

In COLOSSIANS 1:11, Paul reminds the believers that they are strengthened with all power according to God’s glorious might. God's Glorious Might, its not a might where in this world one is conquered by the next conquer in this history of humanity, or like our lives, where we are over somethings and other things are above us in this world. BUT God's Might is Glorious, as Pharo challenged God of Israel in Exodus, and God showed Himself ALL-MIGHTY - where Not Only He took a nation out of a nation, But He did it in style. He Made Signs and Wonders in The heavens and the earth showing His Wonderous Glory, and Glorious Might. “Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders? Exodus 15:11

Precieving and understanding, seeing and hearing testament and believing builds Trust and believe in God. And there is devine empowerment that enables believers to have great endurance and patience in their journey of faith. We can never underestimate God, by any knowledge and understanding and limitations of earthly knowledge, the bible and human witness of God's Glorious Might highlights the supernatural strength that comes from relying on God’s power.

Paul therefore In COLOSSIANS 1:12, encourages the believers to give joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified them to share in the inheritance of His holy people in the kingdom of light. This reminds them of their position as partakers in God’s kingdom and the gratitude they should have for His grace and provision.
